Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Manager as we continue the growth and expansion of our team. Our ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades who is able to think on their feet, find solutions, multitask, and has had proven success in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity. The duties and responsibilities of the OM include to manage and coordinate the integrated operational infrastructure of our small but multifaceted company, while maintaining an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team. The OM will lead in the development, implementation, and administration of policies, systems, and procedures. They will conduct financial and/or operational analyses, audit current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations, as well as ensure the company stays in great financial standing.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of various systems and departments.

  • Coordinate and lead weekly team meetings.

  • Manage the hiring process, including advertise open positions, review resumes, coordinate and conduct interviews, conduct reference and background checks, and draft offer letters.

  • Oversee the supervision of personnel including training, problem resolution, and employee grievances. Evaluate the performance and make recommendations for personnel actions. Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

  • Provides advice and assistance to the President in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and organizational procedures to increase efficiency and enhance the company’s internal capacity.

  • Responsible for the monitoring of all office systems to assure systems are operating correctly and efficiently.

Requirements

Required Knowledge and Skills: 


  • Directly related management expertise in fiscal services, administration, human resources, and support services gained through either 5 years of equivalent-level work experience or completion of college-level business management certification. Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree required. 

  • Work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed on the job description required. 

  • Successful implementation of business management principles, organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. 

  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to budget and implement fiscal management principles and procedures.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. 

  • Skilled in evaluating and revising operations and procedures in response to organizational change.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with administration, staff, clients, and external individuals and entities. 

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. 

  • Demonstrated experience of office management and maintenance. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of running an office, including human resources, personnel administration, and employee relations.


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, associate’s degree required 

  • Construction industry experience is preferred 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
